It was great to listen to him talk so passionately about Wakefield.
We certainly had an affect on him and he certainly had an affect on the club and the fans.

I liked how he picked out Wrench, Mark Field and Rob Spicer for praise. Not many will pick those names but it shows that sometimes you don't realise the potential of young players within the club.

Quite a coup getting the current Souths coach. He's a busy man.

First criticism guys.... but please take as an observation and not personal... several times during the interview Jason said something interesting and I thought ... I want know more... but it seemed that you were so concentrated on the next pre prepared question, that you missed the opportunity to allow him to elaborate...

The process worked well in the first two interviews and I’m enjoying your work

Spook, you should know the answer to this one better than most. Time lag on zoom or whatever it was, I know it's not as bad as it used to be but it's still there and I think it does make it a bit more difficult. I think they both accidentally talked over each other a few times and it kind of lost its flow.

So I say give them a break, heck Eamon Holmes struggles when the person is next to him and he's paid a fortune.

Get a grip Spooky. This is the best link any club in super league has with their past players. I think this is pretty professional to say its 2 blokes doing it with no outside support.

Willing to accept and take on board any observation! JD is the current South Sydney Rabbitohs Head Coach, runners up of the NRL in 2021. We had a very limited window to interview JD, with the interview starting at 04:30 UK time, so apologies if we weren't fully on the ball.

We have a very basic outline of what we want to get across but nothing is "pre planned". Glad you're enjoying the only active Wakefield Trinity Podcast!

Thanks for this... I work in an environment where we are constantly seeking feedback to create improvement... vasty... pop tart... it was never meant to be an attack... or having a go at interviewing ability...it was just feedback! And I’m sure that you guys will have learned much about time lag when interviewing...

The interview WAS very good ... the previous two have been excellent ... all I’m saying is that ‘some’ natural progression was lost... and it’s an opportunity to improve.

jds chat was great loved it , he loves wakey - i reackon he will coach us one day when his time in the nrl is up

I never thought it was an attack, I was just a bit surprised you didn’t take the time lag into account. It seems such a minor thing but it really hampers conversations. My dear old mother is fairly deaf now even with her hearing aids in and it’s a similar situation, much as we try we are fundamentally having two conversation.

I seriously doubt that myself but it’s a nice thought, if he’s half the coach he appears to be he will stay in Oz with his family. I think the bloke has done his time in the north of England.
