It's fulfilling to know you appreciate it especially as you seem obsessed with my career as an HGV driver, as for sarcastic comments in most cases I've found them a poor substitute for a lack of knowledge.
HGV drivers keep the country running. If that's what you do or did. Good on you. Anyone who belittles that doesn't understand how things work.
Great player while he was here like lots before him ,we’ve had players much better and much worse than him over the years , some we lament in their departure and some we rejoice ,Rocky was deffo in the former, but I’m much more concerned with our present squad of which we have a couple of huge games ahead of us than scoring brownie points on a IMO a pointless thread . He was great for us ,he’s gone , move on
Its you who wants to read the post sado it says could bite us on the bum ! COULD COULD we will have to wait and see, oh tip for you this week the weather will be dry this saturday another you got wrong
Can't you actually communicate without getting abusive? Shows what an ignorant person you really are, a first-class example of why are game lags so far behind all others.
Any player and I mean any player could come back and bite our BUM not just your beloved Ryan, that's how it works, so why pick on him. You are so creepily obsessed by this player you seem to be more interested in his future than those of the 30 honest and decent players who actually play for us, that is truly pathetic.
Ryan is a good little player who gave us great service, he also has time on his side and I hope he does well. If it helps your martyr complex, I'd have preferred it if we'd kept Ryan but for whatever reason, we didn't and to most normal fans that's an end to it.
NOW TELL US ALL WHAT BIT OF THAT STATEMENT OFFENDS YOU?
Your last line, could you be any more infantile? Seriously how pathetic are you, oh and a TOP tip, I actually hoped the conditions would be dry tough I never made any attempt to predict the weather, it's Thursday for christ's sake! This is yet another example of your innate inability to not read stuff properly and thus look utterly foolish.
I personally never got the Hampshire hype. He did ok for us but for me he is a below average Super League player at both Half and Fullback.
If you look at our current squad for me he is not better than Miller or Lino and I also think Gaskell is a better player than him as well. I also think it is obvious that Max is a better Fullback.
He did ok for us over the past few years but nothing more than that and the fact he never nailed down a fixed starting position speaks volumes for me.
I think the love some people seem to have for him is because he is a local lad which I do understand but I don't think anyone would have been sad to see him go if he was say from Wigan or Bradford or Hull.

Ever since he joined the club he's been used by some as an object to beat the club with. We don't owe Ryan Hampshire anything, he didn't come up from our Academy so the local lad stuff has no validity at all.
When a player comes through the Trinity system and is let go I understand the upset it causes. Ryan is a Wigan product and that makes him no different to Gaskell who is a Saints product. Where you are born only counts if you pledge yourself to that club from day one.
I don't blame him or his family, I suspect I would do the same but people can't turn around and expect us to show special favours to said player. I don't believe for a moment that's Ryans' attitude but it sure seems to be the mindset of some on here.
I get the impression that when we played Cas they won't be interested in how well Jowitt plays, it will be Hampshire they want to have a blinder so they can have one big collective 'I told you so'.
Maybe it's me and I'm out of step but that doesn't sound like supporting your team that sounds like supporting your own ego.
MC said we are not a selling club now, well that's perfectly true we just release a local young player who never let the club down and replaced him with an older version.
Not only that we then have to loan a full back adding more expense, Great bit of business.
Do you know how much Gaskell is paid? Do you know how much the loan of Escare is costing Wakefield? Do you know that those 2 figures added together are greater than the figure it would have cost us to retain Hampshire?
I suspect the answer on all 3 counts is NO YOU DON'T, so how do you know it's bad business???
The reason why the inability to sign Rocky is so frustrating, gutting, disappointing is that he is a very rare commodity in that he is a naturally gifted supremely talented Rugby League player. The game at all levels if full of tough, brave, fit players who will run at brick walls all day and attempt to tackle everything that moves, I am in awe of these lads and full of admiration for them, my favourite players, Nigel Bell, John Burke, Hendo, Trevor Skerett, Duncan McGilvary all had these attributes in bucket loads. Lets be fair all clubs have these types of players and all teams need them but they are a comparatively common commodity. You will remember that in the old days there was a saying about just calling down the pit and getting a prop forward etc. Real star quality is rare, players with guile, players who can break down a defence with speed, footwork, slight of hand, skill rather than brute force, these players are the difference in making a good side great, a mid table side a top 4 team, and guiding a team fighting relegation to safety. From a very early age in local junior rugby any good judge could see that Rocky was special, and if you just watch his highlights for us you can easily see that he just a natural, look at the way he reads a break and is always in the right place - just like Shaun Edwards, look at the way he creates openings from nothing, add to that his brilliant defence. These players are rare and very hard for us to get our hands on as the ones with these talents are picked off by the big clubs as juniors. When we get a specially talented player it is also very difficult for us to keep hold of them, Nigel Wright, Toppo, McShane, Soloamoana, Brough all left either because we needed the transfer fee or were tapped up. These players were all match winners. Rocky is a match winner, he is class, he is a special talent and we should have kept him as the likes of him do not come around often for the likes of us. To make matters utterly unbearable we now have to watch him shine is a Cas shirt. Any good judge knows that we have made an error and this nonsense about supporting the team rather the player is silly talk.
For me Rocky covered a few positions for me he never mastered one and made it his own. Not necessarily his fault but he was a squad player. His time came to go whether the club did or didn't offer him a deal is irrelevant. Good luck to him at Cas he moves on we move on
