As one who wants jowitt reinstated at FB, I don’t think he is perfect, or without fault, simply that he is the best FB on the books.

I can't believe what I've just seen i've been saying this for years & you've tried to be clever saying I don't know what I'm talking about & now you come out with this I've been saying this for years but some fans think he's a god He has no defence at all never has. I may not be that clever but I've seen what's happening with him & it makes my blood boil. At least Jowitt get near enough to tacklel Gaskell as never mist a tackel,as he never gets near enough to make one

You make me laugh you really do. Your one of those who think they have a god given right to spout any old crap they want, especially when they are in a mood.

Someone like me challenges them and they can’t bear it. Suddenly they get nasty like you always do. Your just a big man baby who can give it but can’t take it.

Truth is there are very few people on here I’ve ever seriously argued with despite your silly attempts to claim otherwise.

Most people either like what I post or totally ignore it because they don’t like what I post. There is a choice. This is a forum, the whole idea is that people can post anonymously view that they can’t do normally within the rules of the board obviously.

If it’s any consultation I don’t mind you, mainly because I don’t know you as indeed you don’t know me so why make it personal? most of what you post is sound enough. It’s only when your obvious bitterness about something, no idea what it is, seeps in. Then you are a monumental pain on here.

People - the constant bickering and snarking is getting draining. Keep it to PM's or as has been alluded to, put each other on ignore
if needs be.

Jowitts defence has been suspect ever since I’ve watched him, but every player in our team has suspect parts of their game. If he was red hot in attack and defence and was the full package he simply wouldn’t be playing for us. I don’t think this knowledge will be alien to either him or the coaches and im sure he’ll work on both this and his positional defending to try and reduce himself in vulnerable positions in defence.

There is no question that the role of full back has changed, as have lots of elements evolved in the game. However, I don’t particularly remember many moments where MJ pulled off a brilliant tackle that saved the game ( or the alleged God Rocky). We had some players in the past who lacked pace and other skills but their “last line of defence” was memorable and snuffed out line breaks as a result. Gaskell is 100% not that man.
