Gale is not the answer he is clearly past his best. He was an excellent player the operative word being “was”. I would assume his appeal to us is his reputation and the fact he will be cheap and ours to him being we are the only club in SL who will sign him.
I have just two words for those with selective amnesia Danny Brough the similarities are there for all to see. How many games has he missed through injury and suspension during the last season.

People like you said that about Finn etc etc, it's just RL cliches that are endlessly trotted out by those who don't get it. Just my opinion, but I like to judge players after I've seen them in the RWB not before, that's what coaches are good at but then we have a lot of those on hear. I can't wait for one of them to actually be right

God i wish we could of got Finn 3/4 years earlier.

It didn’t work too well with Lineham we are stuck with him for another two years and I remember many questioned the Brough signing so I guess the club chose not to hear us.

You do realise Lineham was only 28 when we signed him, one year older than TJ is now. You really need to do your research before trolling. Whatever the issues with Lineham his age wasn't one of them

I didn’t say it was I was merely providing an example of why your strategy can fail and quite spectacularly. I think you need to read my post and tell me where I refer to his age.

I'm really glad they don't.

Off the top of my head
- Accept relegation and play part time in championship
- Ashurst is too old
- Tupou will never be a centre
- TJ can't tackle
- Whitbread isn't good enough for an overseas contract
- Never play Gaskell again
- Crowther won't make it
- Westerman is too big a risk to sign
- Hall shouldn't play second row
- Tanginoa shouldn't be prop or second row or prop etc
- Poching can't coach
- throw a kid in we've never seen play

Etc etc etc.

We don't know what they know. So it's great to discuss but let's not pretend we/ you know better.

And Brough was a good option till he got injured. And Lineham didn't look a terrible signing at first. It's easy to criticise with hindsight.

These are some of Vastman’s greatest hits plus who was it who suggested that TJ would benefit from a loan period at Featherstone because he was not ready for SL. I wonder if they would admit to knowing better ?
With regards Brough he was good but at his age injury and a long recovery was more than likely.

I would put some of your suggestions on there, but you don't actually make any.
