From the IMG handbook:

CATCHMENT AREA THRESHOLDS
• Catchment Area is defined as the population of the Local
Authority District where the club’s stadium is located
divided by the total number of Tier 1 and Tier 2 clubs
in the same area.

Oh well if you are going to contradict me with actual facts there is no hope!

I even read that too. I need to work on that.

It certainly doesn't work in Featherstone's favour, Fev will get the minimum 0.5 points whereas the likes of Keighley, Bradford, Newcastle, London Broncos etc will get the full 1.5 points.

That whole section of the scoring system is a farce tbh, teams should be rewarded for extending their reach/attendances/sphere of influence by their own efforts, not for theoretical/"potential" progress. London Broncos have been around for nearly 50 years, and in their current guise for around 30 years, but are currently playing in front of around 400 fans, the "potential" there is imaginary.

Good point. I'd not thought about how big Bradford is to be able to host two teams
And yes I said it the wrong way round. Wakefield are penalised rather than Fev benefit.

Your point about London shows the issue though. A new franchise will get location points but they won't get the grade A without the core criteria and will lose on attendance, fan base for digital and league performance

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Bradford and Keighley are in the same local authority so it might be split between then

It does. But when split they are still above the top threshold. Same as Leeds and Hunslet if Hunslet are promoted.

Trust me, it's nice to discuss IMG etc on a RL forum with someone who has actually read the handbook!

Already committed to next season through the pay monthly scheme for me n the boss , and will do while ever this offer is open for the foreseeable and Seriously can’t wait to park my bum in the new stand. Never thought I’d say I look forwards to sitting down been an avid stand up fan all these years , but Father Time catches up with us all , and walking back to the car like a robot is getting a bit laborious now . Those sneak peeks of the inside of the stand is stuff we could only dream about only a few years ago .

It's 65 pages but they're big pages in PDF format with just a couple of paragraphs in big fonts on most pages, and about 30 pages are the appendix of how they are going to judge the social media viewership numbers - honestly you could get the gist of the main body of it in 10 or 15 minutes.

Sneak peeks? Where have you seen them, can you post them onto here? I’m still waiting for the member shareholders grand tour.
