All any Championship team fan can ask for is that there team is one of those with a realistic chance of promotion. I think we would probably have been in that list even without Ellis, like a number of teams. Now we've nosed our way up the list, but for now it's all speculation. Mercenary though it sounds, I'd happily take Salfords place, sounds far easier.

Remember there is no 'promotion' in the context you describe.
Winning gets you points that helps get you in the 12, but doesn't get you promotion.

Just a thought: I wonder if that's why Brodie Croft signed a ten-year deal. Is there a nod and wink that if he wants to go they'll let him, or if the club needs the money he'll agree to go, but whichever way, Salford get a decent transfer fee?

It's like the Super League Grand Final. It's hard to win, but it's only ever one of three clubs that do, with a couple of try-hards almost getting there.
