Didn't someone on here suggest at one time that paying a fee usually amounted to paying up the remaining year of a players contract? Assuming Simon is on £60K a year, that's a tidy sum for a club like ours.

To me, Simon was as much of a key in the success we had in the front row as much as England. Yes England was massive for us but I dont think his error count was any worse than anyone else in the front row. There was several times when England forced offloads that wasnt on.

Our form dipped following the magic weekend and is it pure coincidence that Mika didnt spend much time on the pitch for us following that due to injuries.

Indeed you are right my opinion..don't confuse speaking with authority with purely expressing an opinion which contradicts yours which then leads to unnecessary critical posts.

Simon is a valued member of the squad who has been a good signing in his time at Trinity (which his stats back up) and that is purely the point I tried to make nothing more.

I trust CC and if Simon goes then I'm sure there is someone in mind equally good to replace him in the pack.

I still rate Simon. For me there was always an extra zip in the forwards when he came on and because of this and the speed of his runs he attracted defenders which could then be exploited.

I think that the problem with Mika is he tried too hard at times but like many on here I would be sad to see him go, a good forward and a nice bloke.

I like Simon, always looks up for it and I agree he'd be better running wider. Get him in't back row
