Maybe the hospitals ARE filling up again, it must be with people pretending they are ill with a fake virus

Mind you he's still alive so, they may be right

Once again you fail to put all this in any context. I have asked you many times but you swerve the answer every time.
To quote hospitals may be filling up is fine, if true, but what about the context, i.e. compared to what?

I'm sure that a man of your "expertise" can work out the consequences of ICU beds filling up.

If you really want me to explain the consequences, just ask or, ask one of your pandemic denier friends, they'll help you

Compared to a month ago when they weren't. It's not hard to work that one out.

Can you show us an example of where 'they' kept banging on about 5% fatality rate back March? Are you sure your weren't getting mixed up with infection rate? or something else?

Nope

Unfortunately I don't have access to the BBC 24/7 News tapes to produce an edit for you. I can assure you back in March that the majority of people in my office thought they were going to die and cleared off leaving me strandard after listening to the BBCs coverage.

I did find an article on the BBC online that mentions in March "the death rate appears to be between 2% and 5%, the WHO said."

Finally got round to checking the so called "let it rip" example in Sweden...

Population of Sweden in 2020: 10,120,195
Comparison for later - Population of Sweden in 2015: 9,764,950
Urbanisation: 88.2%
Aging Demographic: Over the age of 65 years and above - 20% of the total population
Lockdowns: No
Mask mandate: No
Restrictions - Ban on gatherings of more than 50 people, restrictions on visiting care homes, schools were closed to children over the age of 16 and a shift to table-only service in bars and restaurants.
Other factors to consider - Voluntary social distancing guidelines since the start of the pandemic, including working from home where possible and encouraging citizens to avoid public transport.

Number of Covid19 cases in population - High
(Sweden total Covid19 cases per million - 12,288. This ranks them 50th highest in the World. Compared to UK 14,876, placed 40th in the World)

Total all cause deaths: from 1st January to 30th September 2020 – 70,352
Total all cause deaths: average of corresponding date range for the last five years (2015-2019) – 66,649

Other comparisons to specific years:-
Total all cause deaths: from 1st January to 30th September 2018 – 67,684
Total all cause deaths: from 1st January to 30th September 2015 - 67,759

Month of October cannot be included due to reporting lag.

From what I've read they made the exact same “mistakes” as we did in the UK regarding closing parts of the health service and failing to protect care homes.

https://www.france24.com/en/20200916-th ... care-homes

Disgusting treatment of the elderly to say the least.

However to say they've handled it so poorly, had an increase in population of 355,245 from 2015 to 2020, I don't see excess deaths of 3,703 over the five year average being that much of a disaster. If you make the adjustments to the 2015 deaths/change in population you will find the death rate is practically the same as 2020. Applying the Imperial College model used by Prof "lockdown" Ferguson; Sweden should have seen between 42,000 and 85,000 Covid19 deaths by June, reality was about 5,000 confirmed Covid19 related deaths. I'm sorry but based on the actual results in Sweden I don't see the cause for panic that you, the government and media boys would have us believe. Enough to encourage sensible precautions yes, but not to the degree of destroying livelihoods or wanting to take individual freedoms away. I still believe there are people pushing an agenda here under the guise of Covid to change society for their own benefit.

The link you give shows data from China only during the early phases of the pandemic.

It all depends on which 'death rate' you are referring to and these can also spread quite broadly depending on the country and the method of recording data.

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality

If you scroll down to the table of individual countries, you'll see a broad range of mortality rates, take your pick.

So, what is it? death rate = number of deaths from/with covid divided by what? the whole population? the people with positive tests? the people with symptoms? the people who are hospitalised? the people who need ventilation?

Currently in the UK there have been 46,000 deaths attributed to the virus, with a population of 67 million that's 0.068%.
If you look at cases (990,000) you get 4.6%

Also, mortality rates are falling because the medical people are getting more knowledge and experience of the virus and there are some treatments available for severe cases.

I said "context" not "consequences"

Let me give you an example of context. Non covid related to save an argument.

Geezer from Outer Mongolia turns up in Wakefield. Notices 5000 spectators in Belle Vue.
"Kinel". he remarks," thats hell of a lot of people in one place."

A week later he turns up in Manchester, notices 60,000 in Old Trafford.
"Kinel" he remarks, that's hell of a lot of people in one place."

Week later he turns up at Belle Vue, 6000 in.

By gum (or the mongolese eqivelent) not many here is there?

That's context.

How can I work it out genius? . What exactly does "filling up" mean can you, with your less than great enquiring mind :) Put it in context ?
I.e If a large shop has ten customers in and five more turn up is that classed as filling up ?" Maybe it depends on the size of the shop?
Context, Don't just say "filling up". That's what sports commentators say on TV. "The ground is filling up" Turns out by kick off time the grounds half empty.

Oh well never mind....

I suppose your refering to me, big head that I am :)
Let me remind you. I know of no one who has died from covid. I know of no client who has died nor do they know someone who has died. ( I always ask) Not one of my relatives has died of covid, yer know, the ones I hug or kiss. No elderly neighbors, no shopkeepers, no shop assistants seving me who have been on the "front line" since the begining.
Everyone I ask knows of no one who has died including those rejecting the wearing of masks. That's hell of a lot of people even just assuming they all know a minimum of ten people each.

Never mind deaths, I don't even know of anyone who has even been in hospital let alone an IC unit.

I have heard of rugby league players testing positive but apparently a couple of weeks later they are back playing the toughest sport on earth.

I think you need to look elsewhere for someone to blame other than non mask wearers. Maybe it's those actually wearing the filthy germ bags over their mushes. You know, the ones who cconstantly touch the bloody things and then handle everything without washing their hands and then dispose of them goodness knows where. Or worse, just use the same face nappy over and over again that;s after breathing in their own exaust fumes over and over again. Yer know, just like nature intented, or not.

Or, maybe it's because the powers that be have abolished herd immunity that your "covid" is not under control.

Or maybe it's just an over reaction as 99.95% of us are reltivley ok thanks.

Or a scam
