Has Eric informed IA why he was resigning and that's why he accepted it?
The 'misunderstandings' that were sorted out, to avert court proceedings don't seem to have lasted long.
All Box and Co are bothered about, is undoing all the great work that MC and CB have done, in bringing the club back from the brink and turning the club into a competitive force, which has more weight in getting a ground built and they know it.
If we were stumbling from one crisis to another, then it's easy for Box to turn us down and this is what he is trying to achieve.

If you believe that Walker and co will salvage anything then you've missed the last two years. They will get you nothing and all three of you will be hugely dissapointed AGAIN.

Slugger, I realise you don't reside in the fiefdom of Box but those of us that do know its a surreal place. For instance in this very same fiefdom an almost identical scenario is taking place to the one that we are all discussing.

Whilst our down trodden club is being asked to jump through hoops, the supporters are up in arms and protests and groups like SWAG are the norm. Trusts need to be set up and then replaced by phoney trusts. There is another part of the fiefdom where all is well. The supporters are happy, there are no trusts, developers can be trusted and do what they are told. There is no talk of rent and running costs. However an identical sporting club doesn't have nightmares but sleeps soundly in the knowledge they are getting a brand spanking new fit for purpose stadium for £1.

This clearly demonstrates that Mr Box has total control of his fiefdom and the power to make anything happen. So I am saying there are numerous options open, it just so happens that in our case MR BOX chooses the biggest pile of crap option that is possible.

Vasty must admit this poster has stumped me by saying that.

The only thing I can think of is that one club has Box as a shareholder and the other doesn't.

Plan A will NEVER happen they will offer terms MC would never accept and blame it all on us for being inflexible, and "we've tried"Time to move on on with plan B and fight the fight from outside the city. Should that be ultimately unsuccessful so be it . Because once we leave there'll be no coming back to Wakefield, Box will see to that. I'd sooner we folded than let Walker,Richardson and co run this club.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Re: Jeremy Cross Latest Tweet : Fri Jan 26, 2018 7:42 pm
I'd sooner the club accept whatever terms get offered to build a stadium, argue about the details once it's built. We're in a weaker position to negotiate now, but if someone actually builds a stadium, our hand is strengthened. If the terms once it's complete are unworkable, walk away from the stadium. The council and developers may be cynical wjen they have the upper hand, but they're not going to pull down a £15m brand new stadium without lots of questions being asked of them

It's a two-way street, if that happens MC then can tell the public why the terms are not acceptable and that WMDC is trying it on.

I also can't see any scenario where Walker or Richardson would try or want to run the club. Walker might be in this situation for some cash and I can't see Ted wanting back in or for that matter the fans letting him. It's not exactly easy and there's no money to be made owning Trinity.

Kind of comes back to my basic point that a stadium was never going to happen then under the current structure, so at least see what the new one offers. We are no worse off, and MC and CB might go back to their Plan B.

If the removal of the threat of legal action was the Trinity side of the new joint effort, perhaps it might raise it's head again. If, however, it turns out that there actually wasn't a legal case after all, we are goosed.
