Not having a dig but back on topic. The more I look at this signing the better it looks.
I had the impression Westerman was a bit of a loose cannon off the pitch, yet other than hearsay I see little real evidence unless I've missed some court case or similar?
He's actually only 29 will be 30 at the start of the season, probably past his very best but hardly past it as I thought he was.
He's also very versatile which tends to negate the age issue.
Also, he's not had that many clubs, the vast majority of his games at Cas and especially Hull, only Toronto stands out as a real oddity. So he must be a reasonably easy player to manage.

At first glance, not to be sniffed at. It's taken the best part of 11 years to finally get the lad and I'm fully accepting that it could all go horribly wrong but then that applies to most signings but I'm beginning to like this signing. At the end of the day we have the cover in those positions should it go bums up.
