we have no game plan, we have no structure, everything from start to finish wants reorganising, we have the same methods and tactics for every team that we play, quite simply Chester is not up to it. He is making good, decent players look USELESS.
We kick off it’s just the same kick over and over again, we never try to force pressure then before we know it they kick and there on our line. We have no plan on our kicks whatsoever, we put a high ball up and no one ever chases it, we never chip over, we never kick early, do we ever call one more drive and it’s downtown, the defence is always set and expecting it. We don’t kick off the front foot, we’ve had senior on the wing 6 foot 2 and we don’t kick to him.
He doesn’t know what he’s doing with team selection in fact you can expect anyone to play anywhere. Bill toupo our best Running straight meter maker so he puts him on the wing and he never gets a pass, we’ve got lynn who grafts and grafts but hasn’t got a pass on him, we’ve got rocky one of our most dangerous runners all last season at full back making breaks all over being played everywhere and not running with the ball, we’ve jowitt being played all over.
We are so easy to defend against if we ever get enough field position. We go middle we go left after we’ve asked someone who’s never done it all his life to pass round the back or we go right with the same. The pack of forwards for all their efforts simply do not make enough ground and rely on the backs for help, we are left with fifty metre kicks on the last more than not, it’s simply comes down to an ageing pack with not enough pace to make breaks.
We have not been able to defend our line for years so it doesn’t surprise me we can’t now. We might have no money but we’ve got some good honest pros who will give their all but for goodness sake get them fitter than any other team, get a game plan that suits them and set some plans to find the opposition weaknesses not just bore us with the same rubbish. We make an easy game look hard. As for recruitment I quite simply have no idea what he’s doing and I’m not sure anyone at the club do either.
100% agree with this. Boring rugby, defeat after defeat and same old quotes and excuses from Chester. Whether Poching coming in will change anything depends on how much input he's allowed. Seems like a token gesture to me. Also before anyone plays the too many injuries excuse. We played Hull KR first game with a full team and got hammered with Crooks getting 4 walk ins. Complacency has set in and I fear for 2021.
