The bottom line is and this is why the blame must fall on the coach is that the current squad is our strongest in all the years we have been in SL with the exception of the Pearman period. The coaches we had got us through despite the squad deficiencies to survive and in the odd season progress.
What we have now is a Coach who despite the advantages of a stable club and improved squad threatens to succeed and finally see us relegated wasting the efforts put in by previous players and coaches. I know you can quote Covid but that begs the question why as it effected us worse than other clubs, injuries, this one can actually apply to all clubs but does not fully excuse 5 wins out of 31 games.
I ask those who are quick to criticise decent how many coaches in any sport would still be in place with that type of record.
I will say again we can all stand to lose a game it is the manner of defeat that is hard to take plus I find it hard to believe that you would accept the loss of three of our best players which would almost certainly destabilise the rest. We are being told of our financial problems we face with every opportunity but we never hear this from clubs like Salford and Castleford or are they better run or do they deal with it in-house to avoid destabilising the club’s image.
