are you saying it was intential from the ref giving fafita the yellow card to bring the game closer as we have seen that many times before
I personally thought it was silly from Fifita but I have never seen a sin bin directly for holding down like that.
I would have naturally expected it to be upgraded to a penalty but a sin bin even at the time I thought was excessive for what essentially was a bit of messing about.
Hicks really hammered us in the third quarter. A number of six agains on the 4/5th tackles absolutely killed us. Some were justified but some were strangely harsh. The last tackle where Pitts literally put his hand on the players shoulder when playing ball and he wiped the count down was ridiculous and even Pitts was mystified. You literally see that happen 100s of times throughout a game with no action. Someone honestly must have stolen Hick’s half time snack from the refs room.
Before the referee Angel brigade come riding in on their chariot of righteousnous peddling this to their agenda by saying the predictable “your blaming the ref for the loss” etc.
No I am not. We lost an I fully accept that it was our performance and discipline that caused it. I am however amazed constantly by the decisions.
Another one was how when Hicks gave a knock on when Miller stripped it (he infuriates me with high risk plays like this) but it bobbled and was projected forwards off the Toulouse players arm yet not given as a knock on and given as a try. How?
Also, on the last tackle when Bretherton fell to the floor losing his footing and Walker was penalised for a high shot with replays showing none - very slight contact. That was absolutely rediculous and immediately led to the Russel try. Effectively that’s two try’s in my opinion shouldn’t have happened but for incorrect calls.
