Would have thought that was impossible to be honest. Where could you put them?

Must admit it's the first time I've accused the club for a long time of overstating :D

I thought the ground held 11k (Glover era we were near that) but only 7.6k were allowed in now because of health and safety (crush barriers etc). Wigan at home before the demolition we announced over 7k.

The capacity has been around 7200 since 2016/2017 when the North Stand capacity was cut. It's now about 4900 with the east seats and paddock gone.

It might have done in his mind and his inflated figures, but it never did.

That 7k figure might be right but it didn't look it. No idea, but what I know for sure is the North stand capacity is now at 1500, and that is dire. You certainly wouldn't get 7k in now.

That sound about right.

Another question maybe worth asking while you have the chance is with the current necessary cutbacks to phase 1 of the redevelopment will phase 2 still go ahead as planned (rollin shack) or will that be potentially scaled back/delayed

Which one is the rollin shack? If it's the old cats bar then yeah I will, although I do know for certain that the original plan for the old Cats bar were scrapped in favour of something more simple, but I don't know what that is.

Not heard anything about cutting back plans for the Gymnasium in the Rollin shack, as it was part of the community package which the council provided two million funding. Next season I imagine t will still be used for match day and other social functions until the East Stand I up and running. One idea I had for match days anyway should the Gymnasium not go ahead, is to make the Rollin shack similar to the Fox’s Bar with a subscription, for those more mature fans, who pre/post match, might not fancy the rough and tumble of drinking in the fan zone or in the concourse of the new stand. :D

It was in the JM podcast or interview on Trinity TV, can't remember which.

Won't be on the WMDC portal as it's not external or a radical change of use. I think his words were that the original idea was to costly (to run I think) and they had not yet decided what they were going to do going forward. That of course might have changed since then, so I will ask.

Although I’m a commit six member and already paid 8 months of next season ticket,I did mention something similar to a club employee regarding not having a covered stand although paying for that facility. Politely I was advised that I was actually paying for a seat which is still being provided in front of the hospitality boxes. I’m not about to take my bat home, I just hope it’s not raining on home match days. Also, I think the club are hoping enough of the stand with some roof will be available sometime during next season for the East Standers to sit in. All depends how quickly the building work progresses.
