Not much and that is discretionary.

It`s not discretionary, it`s a mandatory in line with the green guide publication from SGSA which is referenced in operational guidelines of the RFL, I`m not sure on the number of seats we have to offer however I think MC or JM had said it would be one block of the East stand.

Can`t wait to get a good look from within the ground next week and of course see some rugby!

Keep the open sired seats and let the away fans sit in them lol. Save them
East for the home fans. Be a bit annoying if we had to allocate a block to away fans and we had home fans unable to make use of the new facilities.

We never had to allocate any of the old seating in east stand to away fans did we?

Fair enough, but I can't see it being tested any time soon, nor am I sure how it's policed. I assume you send say Wigan x amount of tickets and if they have not sold them say 48 hours before the game they go on general release? I find it hard to believe they have to be kept free for away fans right up until kick off?

So I think the ruling is the away team can request a certain % of ticket allocation for presale, a certain number of those tickets have to be offered as covered seating. I imagine that we did allocate certain seating in the old east stand but nobody cared about it enough to think anything of it. I don`t see it being a massive issue to be honest, I imagine it a block might be 200/250 seats out of the 2600? Even then, they are just offered, once they are not taken they are available.

Yeah, I think that`s right, as above I think they just have to be offered.

Although nothing to do with how we might allocate seats for away fans at present,I remember many years ago in one particular match against Pies when many members' seats in the east stand were hijacked en bloc and handed over to their fans.We were not amused, as well you can imagine.

EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

Re: Stadium and other issues : Fri Jan 06, 2023 12:23 pm
The seating area of the new stand will be a much different experience to the old one, and of course is the best option for those who prefer to sit alongside the sides (I prefer a side view to being behind the posts - was always a West Stand person rather than the North, when that was an option). I expect there to be much more takers for the seats than there were previously.

It is very good for families too, as they can sit alongside their children. At the moment, the options are to dump them at the front and you go there too, or leave them alone at the front, or have them further back and probably unable to see. The old Belle Vue was not a family experience. A new seating stand will be much more attractive to parents with younger children.

If my dad hadn't taken me when I was five, I wouldn't be typing this now, fifty-two years later.

I remember it well. My seat was one of them.

no but there were always quite a few in there. They just bought general tickets and sat wherever there was a spare seat.
