I've explained the difference in significance in each case. If you refuse to accept the sampling techniques of a world renowned polling company and feel that an effective 1% sample promoted by multiple conspiracy websites is more significant, there's nothing more I can help you with.

You are aware that over 120,000 people signed the "Boaty Mcboatface Politician", which is a significantly greater percentage of the UK population than the 600,000 Americans than you are talking about.

The internet and social media are great platforms for stoking an interest and over blowing certain issues.
Maybe we should get onto that one, after all, the views of the "general public" seemed to be ignored there.

Ah, I see. 600,000 US citizens concerned about there own welfare and the welfare of their children regarding vaccines can be dismissed due to the above. Well, it's not surprising you are just as dismissive that you can compare those with this "joke".

Would you care to expand upon these "over blown certain issues" that deserve to be ignored. God forbid you should have a child damaged by a vaccine and if that happens I can guarantee you will not want your concerns to be dismissed by anyone, let alone tarnished by being associated with certain social media and internet sites.

For someone who, on the surface, cares so much about covid maybe I am surprised at you.

Now, how about expanding on those "over blown issues". so that we can assess whether that petition to investigate vaccine issues re Gates was also a joke.

Its extremely concerning that you feign concern should one of my children be affected by a vaccine and yet have total disregard for people affected by deaths due to Covid19 - HYPOCRITE.

My example was purely to illustrate the ease in which numbers can be encouraged to sign an on line petition but, you chose to take me literally.

You seem to look rather foolish now, dont you..

As for vaccines, as a parent I did agonise about the MMR vaccine which some people, perhaps like yourself, told us was dangerous.
Many people didn't immunise their kids and as a result, a disease, which had been eradicated in the UK, has now returned.
Perhaps the scaremongerers and conspiracists on this issue are very proud of their efforts, just as you may be at some point in the future
