Just about everything in some way, shape or form. The RFL, like everyone else, just want to see progress.

| How about Just one titbit from a meeting TRB. Lets presume you sit at one side of a table, YC sit opposite presumably. Six years of asking you ask once again"are you going to build the trust a stadium ?" (I presume that's the basic question).
They say what ? "yes, no, maybe, next week, we would but we can't find the cheque book, come back next week"????
Just one titbit, anything to relieve the frustration and without giving too much away.

| As regards accessibility it is a case of swings and roundabouts. Nearer for me ,one bus not two. Further for my son two buses not one. Near for all the support Lupset,Alverthorpe, Ossett etc.Lets be realistic how many are actually near Belle Vue? Over the my lifetime I have lived at Hall Green , Altofts, and Stanley. Never moaned about car journey or couple of buses if I wanted a pint or two. Newmarket in my opinion is less easy to access than Dewsbury stadium and hardly any nearer to Wakefield city centre.

| It's just a few yards over the Wakefield / Kirklees border and 1 mile from the M1, (very handy for Durkar, Crigg, Hall Green, Kettlethorpe etc.) and the aforementioned Ossett, Lupset, Alverthorpe and Horbury. Plus the Dewsbury supporters live over the opposite side of the ground so in many ways a natural border between the two groups.
I don't mean to support the idea (not yet anyhoo) but just adding to thbeagle's comments.

| If I understand it correctly then, it's similar to when Saints played at Widnes for a year, with the only difference being that we don't know how long our move out of the city will be for, but in the interim the Trust is still fighting for something.
My only concern is that if we give up Belle Vue, we give up the cheaper option for Yorkcourt and we're left only with Newmarket, and I get the impression that Yorkcourt do not want that under any circumstances. Is there still the plot at Newmarket where the Stadium is supposed to be?
Or is that part of it? A bit more poker? Removing the cheapest option for Yorkcourt from the bargaining table?

| The truth is that we are all thoroughly frustrated and hacked off with the whole process. We thought we'd found a 'no brainier' of a deal and even that has come to nothing - yet. With time not on the clubs side I cannot blame them one bit for going down this route.

| One big disappointment for me in this whole saga of ground relocation has been the apparent ultra low profile of Sir Rodney. During the early stages of the Newmarket venture he was quite prominent with boasts of being instrumental in the provision of the "new" Wembley Stadium etc etc. Ever since those early days - total silence. Do you regard this exercise as a failure, Sir Rodney, and can't come to terms with such. What about all your business associates and aquaintences? Have you severed connections with Trinity?
I just can't come to terms with playing at Dewsbury. It would be for more than one season, and I can't help thinking it's like playing in someone's back yard. We're a SUPERLEAGUE club for God's sake.

| You of course have the benefit of knowing what is going on we don't. What benefit would we gain from moving to Dewsbury compared to moving from Belle Vue.
We can all state what is wrong with the ground but to be honest we have spent very little on its upkeep over several years. To move to Dewsbury must involve additional costs so why spend it on their ground rather than investing in Belle Vue.
If we go to Dewsbury what do we leave land with no tenant, no plan for a replacement in the short or long term. I fail to understand why moving is on our best interest but then again we have not received any details regarding current or past negotiations for several years.

| The one thing I do trust MC on is the facts and figures. He's a pound and pence guy, and if he says that it makes better business sense, I accept that. The issue is whether it is better in the long term. The unknown quantity is the impact on crowds, but the club will know the RFL position, and if it is clear that is progress or out, the answer seems obvious.
But the club has been shafted, it would seem. That is where the unfairness lies.

The problem is what would staying at belle Vue cost? The rfl could have the club jumping through hoops, you have to spend money doing this and this and this etc etc and STILL say sorry not good enough you can't stay here and play in super league...

| The RFL are ready to criticise Belle Vue as not being fit for purpose. The question remains is, "Is the RFL fit for purpose?" Surely stringent ground condition criteria was ruled out as an obligation when the franchising system was ended. The club should fund any cosmetic improvements that the ground requires. That would be more economical than the income from the inevitable much smaller crowds at Dewsbury, surely.

Yeah the club have been shafted from a great height and the most frustrating thing from the outside is that we just seem to be lying down and taking it. I know that there had to be restraint during delicate discussions but they don't seem to be delicate any more! More non-existent !
