Trying to stay as on topic as possible, after LyndsayGill mentioning promising young Wakefield players only go to Huddersfield - I'm going to take a minute to praise Aaron Murphy, what a player he was for us and has consistently been for the Giants. Playing very well in the SR and has bulked up majorly since his time at Belle Vue.

Always liked Murphy and wasn't happy when Huddersfield "stole" him during admin but, although he was a decent FB and Winger, he doesn't really seem to have made the transition to SR just yet.
Maybe with another season or 2 on his back, he will but, he has the look of a "filler in" at the mo.

It was interesting to hear him say that right from the very beginning of his career he has always said he was a second rower and not a centre/winger. I guess he just never had the size to get his coaches backing on that front.

These things take time, he looks very strong in defence and doesn't put a poor shift in yet since I've seen him.

Been over at Huddersfield a few times recently.

John Kear praises Murphy very highly in his book. Murphy could have bailed out with Dale Ferguson when the Shudds Vultures came pecking at our carcass. After contacting JK for advice he decided to give us another year and help see us through a very sticky patch. Kear also said he believed he could have persuaded DF to hang in too if he's been given the chance.
Strange though how Murphy can never shake off that teenage acne.

You see, in football, sports journalists actually do have "sources" when it comes to player movements. Rugby League, however, they just have to pop on RLFANS for any poop going around.

It's a bit of a nothing article, the headline is a question, the main section rumours. Is the paper you quote usually good at these "predictions" or is it just a lazy local hack? Oh and well done for actually presenting a name rather than just coming here fishing.

I've just commented on this over on the Warrington board, the only thing I would read into on this is that he played under Price as assistant at Cronulla.
