Putting a young las at FB would be a huge risk and there is no doubt that he would be targeted.

Let's hope Jowitt plays though, he's been right up there so far, a quality FB

I just think throwing in Butterworth is the lesser of the two evils and we will lose too much without Kaye at 9. Then again Bowes seems to have a big engine so maybe if he can do 60 minutes it would be ok for Crowther to step in for 20.

Luckily its Pochings problem and I’m still firmly in the positive camp so I’m sure they will get it right this week.

Probably discussing something that won’t happen anyway.

We need to put Toulouse to bed from minute one and crush their soul.

For me, I'd go with the kid. He knows his position. Give him a shot. If it fails. Kay is on the bench anyway so all the other options are still open to us.

Ideally it's Max that's playing.

I believe butterworth is more an half back than full back as full back is arguably hardest postion to play which carries alot of pressure so for me id go with kaye there should max get banned with kobe poaching been interchange hooker with bowes

Also, regrading Butterworth, he’s not showing as being in the first team squad. Wasn’t there a rule that when a player played SL their wage automatically went up to a certain amount? I think it stopped for the first year of Covid but not sure if it’s back in play? I reckon that’ll be a factor if so.

If it is, we might as well pack in if we can’t afford to pay a young kid’s wage increase. I know the club likes to do things on the cheap but it’s going to get us relegated at some point.

Would be nice to actually see something like a complete team playing against our main rivals .

Wonder if any of the players that were a couple of weeks away might be fit ? Think poching mentioned hood and Gaskell ? Either would be a big positive sometimes it seems like we have a revolving door

? Hall and Croft ?

If hall and Croft are fit lynne or Johnson to fb ?

One would think walker and Lino at half back

Almost an embarrassment of riches in the forwards especially if hoods fit although I think bowes and Kaye have been doing ok

Be very use ful if Gaskell were fit as he d fill in at fb

All going to depend on who’s available

Yes think Butterworth plays more full back than half back when I've seen him play in reserves or 19's always looks safe under high balls and good positional play when he played boxing day at Leeds I thought he looked very confident in his all round play don't think he would be phased by it
