Theres no historical or modern day significance to the City of Leeds, had they said York or Wakefield both of which are Historicaly significant Northern Cities, I could have understood it.
Its a bit like the Yanks rewriting history through Holywood, People from Leeds bigging up their Town and ataching significance to it via the press.
