Wonder if the vaccine that seems to be on the horizon is a preventative vaccine or, the first step in mass control of the population ?

Good question wrencat. I suppose it depends what, if any, restrictions they put on anyone not taking the vaccine.
As a precursor the muzzles are already a control mechanism, or they would like them to be. See the sign on the front of Aviva buses as a glaring example.

I’ve no problem with people choosing not to get the vaccine. It will almost certainly ensure they won’t be going on holiday abroad again though. Or indeed working abroad.

But will it stop at "covid" related issues. Be careful what you wish for. Before you give our politicians this power I would certainly think it through very very carefully.
The politicians we have now are bad enough, but there is no telling what kind of people will be in power in the years to come.

Why?
For a start, there will be some that will be allergic to the vaccine - like they are to the flu jab for example - and wont be able to have it.

The "muzzles" as you so eloquently describe them are to try and help prevent the spread of the virus, not to control the population.
