Dictionary Legend: an extremely famous or notorious person, especially in a particular field. "the man was a living legend" synonyms: celebrity, star, superstar, icon, famous person, great, genius, phenomenon, luminary, giant, big name
In it's purest sense I would think (IMHO) that those who gained this accolade via Wakefield Trinity during my time watching them are Neil Fox, Rocky Turner and Dave Topliss. I am also aware of Johnty Parkin. Ray Price and Wally Lewis gained the tick elsewhere. I'm sure all of these are held in very high esteem by many other general Rugby League fans just like we know Clive Sullivan and Billy Boston were/are Legends.
Jason Demetriou possibly "heroic" status with Fifita heading that way.

Johny T a loyal servant.
It's subjective but yours seems a fair enough explanation.
Funny thing is I doubt many RL players especially the likes of JT would consider themselves legends for one second, there modesty is far to legendary for that.
Not an answer from you though VASTMAN, still defensive abuse albeit tame this time around, if Eric was still around I'm sure he would have been keen to have a chat with you.

Once again you stumble over your own lack of intelligence
You are trying to ram your thoughts on what a legend is or isn't down all of our throats
I have merely stated that Wally Lewis is former Wakefield player who is the biggest legend of all time which doesn't go along with your 'what is a legend theory'
I assume by your lack of answering me you are sticking to your guns and you think Wally Lewis doesn't fall in to what you deem to be a RL legend?
Lmao
We are only discussing definitions here so no need for the acrimony. And as a reminder, this thread is about Fifita. I was OK that it stretched to other props who he compared to but we can leave it at that.
I'll clean this thread up later. No more arguing over the definition of a legend please. By all means start a new thread. And any more name calling will result in a temporary ban just like on the VT.
I must admit I recall Skerrett and Balantyne as 2nd rowers when they were in their pomp in a Trinity shirt. ????? Props of today expected to show those skills.

No worries PT and a fair call
If you could ask vastman to stop messaging me though I'd be grateful
Just watched big dave on rugby am talking about growing up and playing the game and how he ended up playing for a club he hadn’t heard of ,but loves the place now . A Down to earth guy who comes across as humble, but also a great sense of humour , and a sense of loyalty to the club. .
