To be honest it's a presumption on the back of MC's comments from last year. On the back of those comments we know Rocky wanted a longer contract and more money, he then signed a one year deal so I guess there are two ways it could have gone:

Rocky got the money he wanted but only on a 1 year deal which gave him time to prove his worth etc
or
Rocky didn't get the money and took a 1 year deal as he had no other options on the table at the time

If he doesn't sign, then so be it, we've lost bigger players many times in the past but the club moves on.

He might have signed and the club have decided not to announce it yet.

A number of journos seem to be very confident we have signed Alex Walker for next year, i cant see him signing to be sat on the sidelines which indicates to me he is our starting full back next year.

To me this results in either Hampshire leaving or someone like Brough leaving early and Hampshire taking the no 7 shirt.

I suppose we will just have to wait and see...

Similar to what I said earlier in the thread, completely agree with you.

I don’t think it looks good though unless they plan to move him into the halves. Simply because of all this speculation on Alex Walker, that would leave us with 4 fullbacks in Rocky, Walker, Jowitt and Hooley.

Personally would take Hampshire over miller but only see what happens on game day so maybe miller is the preferred all round option

I would too, Normycat.

Think his tweet following the game shows how much he cares and how much passion he has for the club.

Shame that some of the more senior players dont seem to show the same passion, who are tied down to longer deals and probably on more money

With Broughy a doubt and Max due to return Hampshire might be partnering Miller in the halves
