Today’s statement from RFL

Public health considerations – for everyone - and particularly the most vulnerable in all our communities - are everyone’s priority.

The Rugby Football League is following and has followed at all times the Government’s advice and will continue to do so. We are in constant contact with the relevant Government Departments who are informed by the national scientific and medical experts. This information has been communicated directly to all clubs in the professional and community game over the previous few weeks.

The Government guidance was there was no medical rationale to call off games this weekend, and this was followed by Rugby League and many other sports.

The situation is fast-moving and evolving. By the end of the weekend the RFL will have sent further detailed papers to all clubs in the Betfred Super League, Championship and League 1 on the in-depth plans developed by the governing body over a number of weeks, in discussion with both clubs and broadcast partners.

Meetings will be held with the professional leagues at the start of this week to continue contingency planning and discussions around all competitions and events together.

Community leagues and clubs, and Foundations, will continue to receive information and support from the appropriate RFL teams.

if we stop which looks likely just start the league when we can and then run it until we end the season, if this means running into winter months then so be it way

We can then look at next season in a different way forget the internationals

I don’t think I could lock myself away for 4 weeks, let alone 4 months. As old as I am, if I feel well, then no way can I imagine staying indoors that long. I’m sure a lot of my generation will feel the same way, you can’t change the habit of a lifetime.

They should be looking further a field and questioning why someone would want to eat animals that hang upside down that soil them selves in the first place

The Chinese have a lot to answer for

That aside it's costing me like others thousands in investments and businesses

Nightmare scenario for small businesses and the like getting through this in one piece.How the hell is the average joe to know if you’ve just got the standard winter sniffles or harbouring the deadly(to some) virus .The rhinos players tests have come back clear ,Toronto players although not tested have said some may have it ,it’s a nightmare situation.How on earth RL and many more minority sports are going to survive without funding help.
