Anyway, the point about Sts wanting him.
They have covered Grace with Bettinson and Simms all year.
I think although Murphy would do quite well there, they don't need to come here for their recruits.

Benninson is a full back.

Murphy would massively improve St Helens back line.

He would.....

But French, Bibby, Brisco and Olpherts are all out of contract.
Better with one of them I think :D

Would that be the all singing all dancing back line of the greatest ever team to grace super dooper league, high praise indeed from someone as knowledgeable as yourself, he could even play outside Hurrell who according to you is the best signing Saints ever made, presumably you were still a wire fan when Lyons and Gidley were around.

One thing I don't understand, how can you MASSIVELY improve perfection? but at least your now realising there is talent about east of the M6 :D.

I think Tom Lineham would fit in perfectly alongside Konrad Hurrell, both would be unstoppable from a foot out.

You really are clueless.

This is the young lads first season and he’s had some good and not so good games.

He has some potential but he’s a way off yet. He doesn’t yet read the game well enough in attack though defensively he does.

For a start we need to see if he maintains his speed, many lose it around this point. Then we need to sort out his positional play a bit better.

Then in a couple of seasons he may be a player who could improve anyones back line but not yet.

If you knew the game and you clearly don’t you wouldn’t fall for the SKY hype. He’s scored 7 I think but only two were individual efforts, good but not Ofiah just yet.

He also owes a huge debt to Hall who is a much more complete player at this moment and is the one I’d be after.

Both are great together why spoil it.

I don't think having Hall on his inside does him any favours. I would hazard a gues that none of his tries this year have come from a Hall pass.

Not sure I agree. True we have yet to see the combination play but that will come. What Hall does is be in the right place at the right time, this is whats helped Murphy in defence, whilst relieving him of the onus pressure of running the ball out. He has a reliable centre who works hard for him. Although Gaskell has looked ok at centre Kershaw did a mountain of work, I don't know the stats but I'd guess Hall did more hard meters and Murphy did less. This is a good thing by the way, I don't mind wingers running the ball out but not all the time, they need something in reserve (though clearly Lineham is the exception).

Put it this way, I bet Murphy could of gone the length of the pitch on the 80th minute, I reckon poor old Kershaw couldn't after 30 minutes. It's a balancing act.

Kershaw did 18 carries. Murphy 7
Of course Murphy ran twice as far in his 7.
Hall did 16 carries and Gaskell did 5.

That pretty much backs up your point I think.
