It hasn't failed, there is zero evidence to support that argument.

Apart from the umpteen over thirties already mentioned on this very thread, that Trinity have had success with through the years, plenty of Saints players are not spring chickens and they seem to do just fine.

Wish I was as ancient as 33!

Come in peace, Think you will find most ST players who are 33 year and still playing for them have been there for years .We have just signed a 33 year old .It does not work for us .Think there as only been one player in S L who we have signed near that age who you new was a match winner and was worth the money, and enjoyed watching and that was the second rower from Leeds ,Sorry
can not member is name .But know he scored 5 trys against us for Leeds .Can not think of any more can you

I do generally agree with this re older players
But they can work too

Brad drew was 33 when he came to us
While he’d lost all his pace he was still a class act for us

Have to hope proctor will be a good un for us
Certainly has as good a cv as you could hope for on the plus side
