when will a law be passed so pedestrians that walk into the path of oncoming traffic whilst listing to their i-pod/pad/ped whatever and chitchatting away to their beloved be passed get a on the spot £60 fine and a kneecapping.
im all for traffic laws and the system but some of the rambler squad need taking out by snipers for their own and others safety.

Yes, damn those inconsiderate pedestrians; clearly, in a system that prioritises the needs and wants of the occupant of a 1 tonne box of steel travelling at terminal velocity, the group who should be legislated against are the soft, squishy ones who are at the greatest risk of harm.
Alternatively, pay attention when you're driving, instead of talking on your phone, updating your facebook status, pi55ing about with the satnav, tuning the radio, applying lipstick or eating a butty, so that in the extremely rare circumstance that a pedestrian puts themselves in harms way, you can take evasive action.

Bloody car culture - gets on my wick.
Noticed where Owen sadly died there are some pretty nasty potholes. It would be nice to both car drivers and pedestrians if there was a level playing field. I was always taught to look well up the road whilst driving for possible hazards but with potholes and silly speed bumps that don't fully cross the road I have to look directly down. Bring back sleeping policemen, they work. There's a severe pothole on Chevet Lane right on a downhill corner where there is adverse camber, there aren't usually many pedestrians there but a few cyclists occasionally. The first time I hit the pothole at 40 the car nearly hit the curb. I've reported teens in my village playing football in the main road amongst other things (wheelies all way down the middle of the road/running in front of cars for a laugh/walking onto the road and hitting cars/standing in the middle of the road fist raised to make cars stop) numerous times and both the law and parents aren't bothered...
pot holes there's one street in Walton the grove its so much in need of sorting it makes me wonder if they don't fill them on purpose just to slow the cars down

nope . just witnessed some idiot step out on the road listing to music and then accept a call still oblivious or ignorant to the fact that the bus had to brake suddenly . hope no one was hurt on the bus.
