the illustrious coach of the pie munches has finally lost it!!! he now believes each club should be allowed one non salry cap union signing up to £50,000. he seemed to think that the likes of brian o driscoll would be a wow to superleague and a massive pr boost to the game as well.looks like mrs o driscoll is gonna be on the tills at jjb!!! just like the good old days. bring back maurice all is forgiven!!!!

You'd get half a plum from Brian O'Driscoll for that sort of money.

I think Nobby should think things through a little before he spouts these ideas.

£50,000 would need to be multiplied by at least 2, probably 3 times, to even come close matching the salaries that top Union players like O'Driscoll would be earning. You certainly wouldn't get much of a player for that amount of money.

Who says its a top RU player he is really after for that kind of money you might get a big lumbering prop because that what he's after and nobby might have one lined up already he may just need the go a head from the rugby league.

at best badly thought out, at worst purely delusional, if he thinks top r.u players are going to come for a fraction of their value then hes off his rocker unless as i sugested jokingly where off back to the good old days off maurices "creative accounting" scams!!!

maybe if they did not sign second rate aussies on big salaries and kept some of their home grown players instead of selling them to the Giants they might have a spare £50,000 to spend on a RU player
