Thanks it's great of you to take the time to say so.

You've hit the nail on the head yourself
John Kear that's how.

He and Wakefield Trinity have been a Heavenly match forged in Hell.

Wakefield as a club are a target for such wide criticism that a siege mentality is a natural state for those who spend any time at the club.

Add the fact that we often get overlooked as a city that produces almost as much tallent as Wigan & Leeds, that we are a Rugby League City (no football to speak of) and we are historicaly a big club.
We get underestimated and that suits us fine.

John Kears ability to get players up for it when all and sundry have written them off gels perfectly with Trinity. However let's not underestimate Kears technical ability nor his tallent for spotting a player.

Most of all John has overseen the complete overhaul of the club from the bottom up. Our community work, junior production, player welfare everything is light years better now as a result of JKs influence. There are many good people in the backroom at Trinity but most of them take their lead from John.

IMO
That's how we do it!

Kear seems to have the ability to see a good talent from the national leagues and step them up to SL quality .we owe you a thankyou for foxy.Kear may be responsible for future GB talent further down the line.
I did not hear any calls for kears head with your drop in pertformances last season which probably goes to show the respect your club and fans have for Kear

as i've posted on the other thread i shudder when i think of what might have been. we dallied around before getting kear and if we hadn't we would have been in oblivion by now imo.
some posters on here actually questioned his position last year which i personally found incredible, i suppose that's the price you pay when you raise expectations. there is always a place for criticism especially on a forum but people have short memories

We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky
And we're always the last when the cream is shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

People always talk about Kear as Mr Motivator and that he can get the very best out of players, which is true, but I think his tactical skills are often understated when the plaudits are given out.

good to see someone from outside the club giving us credit for once instead of saying we were lucky or the other team played badly :)
