In recognition of his 31 years service with Trinity, the legend that is Johnny Thompson has been awarded a Testimonial Match. A Great Britain Legends will play a Wakefield Trinity select team on 19th April. http://www.superleague.co.uk/article.php?id=13281 Certainly well deserved.

long over due but better late than never would be great to see big Neil Fox
just kicking the game off hope we can see the likes of Ashurst, Juliff, Skerett etc

To be fair to the club, he had a match on his 10th and 20th, then an evening do on his 30th.

So? Their facilities were made use of, weren't they? I'd assume they were at least accomodating in the arrangements over his first and second one? I also get the impression it isn't unusual for these things to be done by volunteers rather than the employers.

I'm not trying to demean the efforts of you or others, nor am I trying to say JT isn't deserving. However, at times it does seem like people expect the club to do everything and will moan regardless.
