Karmichael Hunt has surprised the NRL by announcing a change of code next season. Surprisingly he is NOT going to Union but is joining a new Gold Coast team playing Aussie Rules (now there`s a misnomer), in the ARL. Most of the rumours around the NRL had him probably signing for Wigan, shows how far off rumours can be.

To be fair i think most of the rumours were he was heading to Japan to play Union, anyone expecting him to sign for a SL club with the money he was demanding was not in there right mind.

Do not know much about Aussie Rules behind the scenes interesting to see if they have a salary cap given the fact the likes of Falou, Inglis etc would also be prime targets for there code.
