Churlish post : Mon Feb 15, 2010 3:37 pm
Churlish indeed after yesterdays brilliance but I have 2 'gripes'.

1. Why were the turnstiles not opened until 2pm? There were literally 100's of people waiting to get in.
People standing around outside when they could have been spending money in the ground. Stupid.

2. Why has the bar changed its pie selections? Gutted when I saw the cheap offerings, which when sampled had about 2% meat content and six tonne of pastry. Plus I got mushy peas with it and there were about 5 peas. Utter Rubbish.

I might email the club about my 2 concerns, but at the moment I am rather happy, so may just leave my little moans to here. 8)

In reference to number 1 .... the club tends to shoot themselves in the foot when things are going well, perhaps they didnt envisage a 10k crowd or maybe they genuinely thought opening the gates at 2pm would allow sufficient time to get everyone in...and upto press, it hasnt been mentioned that folk missed the kick off due to having to que to get in....

2. i would imagine this comes down to costs. They can probably be bought at a fraction of the price of the old ones and can be sold for the same price....

If you feel so strongly about it, contact the club. If there is a problem the club carnt try to rectify it unless they know about it.

The in ground catering is I believe spurced out.So your gripe should be directed at them.

It is - but as it is on behalf of the club I think you are required to complain to the club and they will deal with it.

The club have had some really good pies at times - so this is a disappointing, if not sinister move - the thin end of the pie perhaps!
