Hope they come back in some shape or form, they've been great for Rugby League and offer a better service than Bbc radio Leeds.

Tonight at 6pm it goes off air. Something to do with Leeds United and their future plans for their own TV channel and such..

Such a shame, great for me with the excellent RL coverage and LUFC news.

Noticed that the Station was under investigation by Ofcom which could have had an impact (this can be viewed if you search for broadcast bulletin 227 and scroll down to p60 if your interested)

A lot of people out of work. Bad news all round. I thought their commentary of games and the shows for super league were great

Very bad news as I work with a couple of the guys from there. A shame, as it really did offer an alternative to some stale opposition.

This certainly is bad news. I'm often travelling around the world and this was a fantastic resource for keeping up to date with live commentary. A great and credible alternative to the BBC. I hope someone else can pick up the radio broadcast contract. There must be an opening for someone somewhere here.

Also listened from overseas, much better quality than BBC, usually a current player as co-commentator.
I guess it was bank-rolled by Mr Bates, so funding would be an issue.
