Does that mean we are no longer trying to advertise Channel 4 in the south west corner, there was a whole neve revenue stream there
Seriously though, about time.
Apparantly its not just a matter of just fixing the the bulbs. There are two issues with our lights. Odd as it sounds they are quite old and I believe it's hard to actually find new bulbs - where they finally sourced them from I don't know.
Also there is a design fault with the lights and I'm told that birds peck at some exposed wuring causing shorts, the club has tried to rectify this but failed. Often it's not actually the bulb thats gone. Lets hope this is a more permanant fix.
*Lamps a bulb is something you plant and a bulb holder is a plant pot Still relatively easy to source these, however the technology in lighting has moved on considerably, so these older lamps have inflated in price to try and encourage the uptake of more energy efficient light sources
Glad we've invested in the floodlighting as it will make the ground look very different on Sky, less dreary and dull around the edges

Yes, I realise that it's somewhat more involved than nipping down to B & Q for a multi pack of 60W standard bayonet bulbs and it's interesting what you say about birds pecking at exposed wiring. Hopefully we've bought a few spares.

As someone who has worked in the lighting and electrical wholesale and distribution industry for the last 30 years I can say it is almost as simple as that, providing you contact the right person first it will be just one call to get these lamps
This was one of the issues that the RFL/Super League has with the stadium wasn't it? Did think the Huddersfield friendly things were looking a little dull but I'd been at Elland Road in the afternoon so thought it might just have been adjusting from the brighter lights there.

A cherry picker is needed every time a lamp is changed due to the ‘new’ stands stopping the mechanism that lowered the lights down. Hence why the club don’t change every lamp when it fails. The company that has done a deal that is beneficial to all parties and doesn’t really cost a large outlay to get the job done.
