Interview with TinTin in this weeks League Express...he says he is off-contract at the end of this season but wants to stay in England as his family are settled here.
Ideally wants to stay with us, but would go elsewhere if we don't offer him a gig.
Like Hirst, we need to get his contract extended asap

whilst I get what you are saying, where's the money coming from? Finny, Kirmo, Arona, Jowitt, MCB, Crowther all OOC and no player willingly goes down in monetary terms! something has to give

How can you agree with it when it's just been explained why it's wrong by the only man who actually knows? Unless of course you posted before Daddycool did in which case fair enough.

Truth is if we want to keep this squad together one of two things need to happen, both preferably.

One, the team need to win some silverware and thus increase revenue above budget.

Or and likewise attendances need to increase dramatically. Hopefully the former would help create the latter.

However if things stay as they are then something will have to give. Fifita on recent outings must have heavily increased his worth as has Tupou and a few others.

I seriously doubt that on current financial projections we WILL be able to keep ALL of our OOC players and we certainly WON'T be able to do it at this point in the season.

All clubs suffer from this but we do more than most. Sad but that's how it is.

MC states "something has to give". Maybe subsequent posters believe some or all of Finny, Kirmo, Jowitt, MCB, or Crowther should "give" before Arona? Ultimately MC and CC will make that decision. We can only champion our favourites.

Agreed although it depends who is getting what, something that "we" dont know.
Arona is a cracking player though. Nothing fancy bur, boy, does he graft.

We shouldnt have a pecking order but, if we did, he would be well up there.
