Not knowing the injury situation other than Kirmond not available ( Fafita and Arona must be doubts ) I would 100 % select Arundel over Reece. Cas will target our right hand side big time after watching the tapes of our Wigan and Warrington games. We need to make a change, Cas have real strike, looking at the damage Brown, Ratchford ( who was excellent ) Goodwin did we need to react. I would also not select Paulie Paulie, I think his defensive frailties out way his ball carrying, he misses several tackles and is a target, his contact in the tackle has been poor at times, would not want to see Gale and Mcshane running at him. Time to select a quality defender in his place Baldwinson / Anakin would improve our defense. I would also be tempted to play Rocky at 7, he has the pace to prevent Gale getting on the outside, if a team can restrict Gale then you give yourself a chance.
I'll leave the team selection to CC who is marginally better than me at it What I will say, however, is that no matter who is picked their attitude must be right, and better than at any time this season because if we don't show total commitment for 80 minutes Cas' will win. We need to get in their faces from the first tackle to the last. No standing back waiting for them to run at us - get up to them and stop them in their tracks. We should make ourselves unbeatable at BV, backed by not the biggest set of supporters in SL, but surely one of the most vociferous and passionate!

Last season we showed at home against Cas that getting in their faces right from the off works! Did we go in at halftime about 20-0 up or something? Unfortunately we did not come out with the same attitude in the second half and we got turned over by one point ! As i say, if we are to beat Cas on Thursday we cant be carrying any passengers in defense and i do think at times Pauli switches off. That said i would put him in the 17 on Thursday, we know that England and Fifita can play big minutes and Huby is not too bad either in the tank, so i would look at bringing Pauli on for a 15 minute spell both halves.. I think that he has a point to prove and what better game to prove it? We have seen the ability he has and his running style gives us a different dimension to our pack.

Agree about Pauli. IMO at this stage I would use him as an impact player. If we can find a way of closing Gale down as well, we're half way there!
Yes, we did hit them from the start, think it was 16-0 at half time. If I recall correctly, we had a chance to increase that at the start of the second half, when, I think it was Arundel though a long pass out wide, the move was on, but it was poorly executed, and then Cas went the length of the field to score. The momentum changed from that moment. Had the pass have stuck, I think we would have increased that lead.
Yes, we have to pick our best possible 17, play for 80, and not stand off Gale. If we can get into their faces, we can make them look ordinary.
They also picked up a few knocks against Leeds too, certainly Webster, and I think Roberts did too.
Really looking forward to this, Mrs EW coming along too.
Don't spoil his rant with facts - he's been waiting since day 1 of the season for us to lose so that he can reinstate his anti-cub agenda.
I thought it was a reasonable question. I know its difficult to make the game from where he "lives" but, having been at the game, I thought I must have missed something. He'll be along soon with some up dated info but, resting a guy, who played through the pain barrier a couple of weeks ago, didn't seem a major issue Mind you, he does seem really knowledgeable and he's right behind the club most of the time so, perhaps we've missed something.

Maps shows the journey at around 18 minutes from central Airedale, surely not that difficult to make?
