guys the difference with me is I am a realist- top 8 is our one and only goal every year and to make that I think we over achieve...so I give congratulations and am very very pleased .

On the basis that 8'th would now be the worst that we can do, we should certainly be looking to secure 5th and keep winning as many games as possible and at least try and put some pressure on Cas, Wire and Wigan. It would take a miracle of biblical proportions for the current top 4 not to be the semi finalists but, all we can do is keep accruing points and see where we can finish. We certainly cant think "job done".
Other than the council, Yorkcourt and 88m Group, who should hang their heads in shame, the only people who should not be congratulated are the people of Wakefield, I do not include the loyal 2,500 who turn up for home games come snow, rain or shine, the fans that follow the team away are fantastic. The corporate support is brilliant, every match they turn up and spend. The people of Wakefield bask in the reflected glory of the 60`s, they benefit from Wakefields Rugby heritage, but ask them to support the team, to contribute, to attend a match, then no they are not interested, why because the people of Wakefield would rather be shopping, or getting something for nothing, only interested in attending if its free, or they can sit in a pub and watch it for free. The excuses they give are pathetic, the reality is that this City of ours in inhabited by a large quantity of scroungers who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing, they are interested in what they are entitled to and not interested in what they can contribute. The last three years have been brilliant on the pitch, supporting this team has been great, we have seen some brilliant players, great Rugby and lads giving it 100 %, we could not ask for more. For our club to be in the Top 8 is a fantastic achievement, the owners deserve better support from the people of Wakefield.

Rubbish. Glories of the 60's is a lifetime ago. Most don't remember it or didn t even live it. Todays potential new speccies have so much more to entertain them its hardly a surprise that not so many come along. I think its extremely difficult to draw in new interest / fans, even ones whos family attend and / or play. TBH that's society nowadays Belly.
