No I didn't. You don't get injured running through gaps.
You get injured hitting another person.
Sorry PT misread your post, my point still stands in that I believe fatigue is the influence behind a lot of injuries that we see.
If you break fatigue down you could put it into two main characteristics: decreased ability of the Central Nervous System which effects the function of muscle contraction and the actual short term damage to the muscle i.e. mini tear of muscle fibres, on set of lactic acid etc - Both of these elements lead to loss of movement efficiency that occurs throughout any kind of Physical activity, leading to players quite easily exaggerating all different kinds of movements which can lead to all kinds of injuries mainly Ligament or tendon damage and muscle pulls and tears. Knee injuries, you will see 1 in 5 probably that are caused as a result of a tackle, the other 4 will be down to a movement taken by the player himself, Hamstring injuries you hear of all the time, tears, strains but you will never see one as a result of anybody else but the players own movements. I could go on and on.
Yes I think some injuries are part and parcel of our game and the physicality that comes along with it, of course they are, but to suggest a large amount of inuries that we see are not down to fatigue is just wrong. I don`t think there is anything wrong with the game as it is at the moment that we play in SL but that`s just me.
