After last nights result (Leeds beating Cas) there are just 4 points separating 4th and 12th in the SL table !

Having got rid of the spectre of the middle 8's, this season is shaping up to be the tightest battle in SL history, both in terms of qualification for the play offs and for the wooden spoon.

The top 2 look well set but, for the rest of us it could be death or glory. Exciting times and the loop fixtures could be crucial.

2 points on Sunday will keep us fighting for a play off position but a reverse could have us looking over our shoulder.

It's still early days and plenty of points to play for and with both Hull sides facing difficult fixture, a win against Salford could have us moving up the table nicely.

Agree that barring a major crisis the top 2 will be Saints and Warrington. After that it really does look like it could be any 3 from the other 10 at the moment. A few weeks ago you’d say Cas would comfortably make it but given their injuries it might not be as clear cut for them .

The Easter weekend could start making some gaps in the table, playing the 3 games in 8/9 days. Any team that can get 3 from 3 really sets them up in a good position, any team that goes 0 from 3 starts looking in trouble. The table on the morning of the 29th of April should tell us a lot more of who could make the playoffs. The next 30 days is the time to make a push and hit form.

True but on the bright side if Wigan beat Catalans and we beat Salford tomorrow we are 4th.

If will take that at this stage of the season and after witnessing our collapse at London.

We have gone very close against Saints and Wire so not too despondent.

Much as Leeds and Wigan had faltered, although both have managed to win a couple of games now, it's been the form of the 3 relegation "favourites" that has caused most surprise.
London, Salford and KR are all going well and this makes 2019 the most open competition in the SL era.

An awful long way to go but, anything is possible and even if Saints and Wire stay at the top all season, anyone could make the play offs.
With such an open competition, we should be the most talked about sport in the country but, barely a mention anywhere.

i reckon it will stay like this for the rest of the season. I dont think there will be very many points between 5th and 11th at the end of the season and probably one team will tail off in 12th.

A very open season. No such thing as must win games this year as everyone is capable of beating everyone else.

Very tight indeed, and as captain caveman said that every team is capable of beating each other.

We do need to start nailing our home games, and turn it into a fortress.

A win today, and were up there, and a loss, and given Leeds winning the other night, we'll be looking over our shoulder.

If BOJ was to say must win game, think i would agree

Every game is a must win game. The moment you start writing off games before they're played is the moment you lose the game
