Come on then thinking back over the years, whats your favourite performance, victory or try from a derby game against Castleford.

I'll start us off... Castleford away 2011.

24-4 down at halftime followed by 4 tries in 17 minutes meaning Trinity took the win 28-24! Huby and Arundel both in the Castleford starting 17 that day.

The original MPG was certainly memorable and the game at the Jungle when they were relegated, from next to bottom, with Catalan having been exempt from relegation that year.

Wasn't it the other way round with Catalans exempt for the £m game? The game in 2004 when we beat them at Cas kept Widnes up in their place I think.

I know that we beat them at their place and they were relegated, maybe the rest is down to age, drink, memory but, not necessarily in that order.
It was a good night though :D

My in laws(from Cas !) still haven't forgiven me for that.

How about the "No Fear it's only Kear" game at Cas. Monty Beetham sent of early doors. Ned Catic following him later on. Crucial one of the 4 from 6 we needed.

First off, good thread - it’s about time you brought something to this forum other than your bully tactics.

This one particular sticks out in my mind too, the likes of pail Johnson, Chris Dean etc, we didn’t stand a chance at half time and I ended up going home a very happy man on a train full of mad teens that almost tipped the train that night.

Got to be the 2006 MPG though for me, also enjoyed the no fear its only Kear game as mentioned above, am I right in thinking they had a plane fly over the ground with that message ?

Yeah we did. Never fear it’s only Kear and you beat us 14-0 or something alike that if I remember rightly.

2004 you beat us something like 32-24 and relegated us (we needed to win and Widnes to lose). Widnes won anyway.

2006, Catalans couldn’t be relegated if they finished bottom so team relegated was 2nd bottom, which was us with the highest total ever if I recall (19).
