I think the coaching staff have had a word with Hirst and Pauli and told them both to start using their weight and find some aggression, as in my opinion they have both been soft until the last 3 or 4 games whereas since then, they now both seem to run it in harder and are getting further over the gain line and making good metres

Pauli must be a nightmare to tackle.
So often he leaves the two defenders gasping for breath, which leaves some space out wide.

Reece Lyne had another superb game yesterday.
Strong running, solid defence and put his wingman away.

Would have liked to see how he went against Hurrel but, that will have to wait until next time :D

Gutted to have missed what was obviously a fantastic performance yesterday - especially from young Mr Kershaw!!
Agree with what has been said about Keegan Hirst - agree he's improved this season and that he and that slightly bigger chap PP is more agressive and leaves players on their ar*e!
Up the Trin.

I agree that Hirst looks better - and it's easy to underestimate his size and strength when he's alongside massive beasts like Dave, Pauli and Kopczak; my only gripe is that his running style is a bit too upright and tall - it looks like it makes it easier to stop him and put him down, as opposed to Kopczak who goes into contact in a really awkward way, or George King, who goes in with his head lower and pokes through.

That said, I wouldn't stand in front of him in full flight - he's a big strong lad, for sure.

He does but I think he does it so he can turn in the tackle and offload, this hasn't really been working for him until recently when he got some good offlaods out. Like young Kershaw he does offer us something a bit different.

Was Dianne Abbott in charge of calculating the crowd figure?
