If MCB plays centre it should be Kershaw on wing.

We played mcb in the centre against cas a few years back, they destroyed him

Leave mcb on the wing he's not a centre

Think you are being a little unfair on MCB, he's played centre more times than you think and pulling a young lad from the 19's to play there is asking for trouble.
Clubs like Wigan, Leeds, Hull, Wire etc would play a young centre on the wing in their first few games, just to get them used to things at SL level.
Obviously Chester & his staff know far more than we do (thank goodness) and all of us just want the side to perform well and hopefully win.

Really looking forward to this one (even though Leeds look to have the stronger side) and I still believe that we can win the forward battle, which should give us a chance.

Come on Trin !

Leeds played Harry Newman at LC on Friday and will most likely be there tomorrow. He’s only 19, so why not switch Lyne over to your LC and let your young lad play RC and go up against another young lad?

I haven’t watched the Cas v Wakefield game yet but from what I saw of the tries, I’d be inclined to leave him on the wing.
If Leeds think he will play in the centres then they will whip the cheque book out and buy Jake Webster.

If Jack Croft is a Centre and MCB is a winger, why would you swap em.
I am bemused at this fannying about playing people out of position.
Ok, he's a young un with no SL experience but I don't see any value in playing him as a winger.
Course, if he goes and has a nightmare I fully expect this post to be erased from existence....:)

I ought to add, I wouldn't be surprised if those 80's Big D has been doing lately are starting to catch up with him.
If he plays, he's gonna need managing for his own good.

I totally agree. I’d rather a young inexperienced centre than a winger who’s done it now and then. Even more important why take a top winger off his wing it don’t make sense.

If you play Croft and MCB in there normal positions you’ve only weakened one position. Swap them and you’ve weakened both.

At the end of the day he’s stepping up for a few games until something gets sorted hopefully. All he needs to do is tackle and play a conventional centres game, let MCB take the risks so to speak.

However I counter this wig the fact that I don’t know how ready Croft is, I’m more surprised Hooley hasn’t been recalled as although he’s not a centre I’d assume he’s further along but again
I don’t know how he’s doing.

This is in no way bagging mcb
He is an excellent winger and I am delighted he has come back to us

I stand by what I said
I have only seen him play in the centre once, it was against cas and they hammered him

When else did he play for us in the centre?

It's not his position
I'll back what ever Chester decides but hope he keeps mcb on the wing

It's a little bit of school team logic - put the weakest link on the wing out of the way.
In Super League it's the opposite. Wing is the most under pressure position. You get more ball. You are required to run against forwards and make ground. Defend high kicks where a mistake is a try and score spectacular tries too that takes practise.
If he is ready for SL, Croft needs to be at centre.

Well if Horo plays Centre, its all academic.
Tbh, in a bind and if we're ok for forwards, I wouldn't wind myself up too much if Jordan went Centre.
That's saying something about the kid when he can take a decent stab at a job.....be a presence, in so many positions.

Leeds backline is near first choice with only Walker really missing.
Their forwards look weak to me but if we don't take advantage in that area they'll skin us today.
