You're right, of course, the ref didn't cost us the game we did.

But whilst there will always be people who will criticise refs as a default, it shouldn't undermine the ability/right to say when refs are getting process wrong and seek improvement.

Too many aspects in refereeing are below par.

And to be really clear, the game, especially the PTB, could improve drastically and immediately, if players cut the rubbish and got on with the game - coaches & players can take the pressure off refs and make the game better for all of us.

I won't hold my breath...

Ref blaming/bashing is just tiresome. I bet he didn’t make 10% of the errors that we did. However it’s symptomatic of modern society. Always looking for it to be someone else’s fault!!

Good to see Thaler wave play on when someone deliberately played the ball into prone player during the Hull derby yesterday.

This is why most fans become frustrated with referees, the interpretations of rules between different referees is huge and I’m sure majority opinion of fair minded fans is that poor referees do cost some clubs league points however good or bad a team plays that game.

The key one for me was the flop on Reynolds after the charge down. Pen more or less in front of sticks and a yellow card.

Alas it wasn't to be, we got giddy threw a pass and ended up bundled in touch.

Double trouble seems to be a correct title, 5 penalties each half against us means 10 we have to over come, again !
No matter what we do he will find them !

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

It's possible for the team to be poor AND the ref to be poor

The number of penalties is not an issue. It always gets me when people say it's unfair that the ref gave them more than us or penalised a lot.
If that's how many there are then we need to improve our discipline.

My only issue is inconsistency.

That for me PT is the biggest issue.
It not only drives us mad, it must be the same for players - whichever team it is.
If the refs gave all the same - as has been pointed out with some of the same things Kendal gave & Thaler didnt earlier in the thread, you could accept it.
I get what MC is saying, but I'm sure that he would agree with the pen against Reece was incorrect.....
As much as hate comparing SL with the NRL, im watching the Canberra v Brisbane game and so far the refs have't gave a dodgy decision in either half.
