The NRL contract announcement from Sky last year included the State of Origin, but it isn't shown on their site as being shown, nor does it appear on the Sky planner for next Wednesday. Has anyone heard anything? Is it really the case that we won't be able to watch such a marquee fixture?

Sky have got all their NRL matches sorted for the season but it's strange that they haven't got this penciled in if they're going to show it. If SKY don't end up showing the series and you want to still watch, the games are on http://www.watchnrl.com with all other NRL games but you have to pay a subscription. Just looking on the site you can currently get a month for half price with the code ORIGIN19, that makes it 11 quid. If you join now or before the 1st game on the 5th you can watch for 1st 2 games for 11 quid, so that's decent value. The 3rd game isn't until the 10th July, so even if you take out the subscription on the day of origin 1, the month will be over & you'll need to get another to watch the 3rd game. You can get weekly sub for 13 quid. So all in all if you are all set on watching the series it'll be 24 quid on watchnrl.com mate.

Will be another opportunity to see genuine attempts to ‘play the ball properly’. How refreshing it is watching NRL this year and seeing the foot touch the ball in vast majority of PTBs. When it doesn’t at least there is an effort to do so.
