I know he's a marmite character, and I know he's mostly hated at the minute, but I just wonder where he's improved/dropped off in the last 3 or 4 years.......

I think generally he's improved his defence, both in technique and bravery for want of a better word. Kicking game is better, but I think his passing game still needs improvement. What I can't work out is, why is he not a running/tryscoring threat anymore?? I'm pretty sure in CC's first year he scored 20 tries! He'll be lucky to get into double figures this season. At least when he was more maverick and unpredictable, he was a threat, he's lost that now, has it been coached out of him??

Definitely doesn't run the ball anymore which was his greatest asset. Without that he's very average in every other department.

Because he did his knee in and is only just coming back.

It was the same pre-injury and goes back last year too.

Does seem to have lost that running, attacking threat.

I think its more this year, where hes hes gone backwards.

He didn't quite have that threat last year, but I thought he was maturing into a better all round half back, with other assets of his game improving.

Personally, I think its the burdens of captaincy. Seen that far too often in cricket, where a new captain gets selected, and their own game suffers. Alistair Cook was a prime example. Even Root not getting quite as many runs these days.

I think we need a change of leadership,to free up Miller, but just not sure who that player is in our squad

I don't agree. I can remember him running at the line and scoring tries.
Certainly the dry weather suits him better. We have a Miller has lost it thread at the beginning of every season.

Wasn’t he top of SL try assists last season ? Was providing great passes /kicks to Johnstone and Tupou up to their injuries this season too as well as taking on the line .

Sometimes a player's natural "flair" can be coached out of them. I'm not saying that's the case with Miller although he has always played "hot and cold" since he arrived from Hull.
