Everytime he plays he doesn't let us down so why for several weeks have I watched our powder puff pack run it in like my gran?
Annakin not a world beater but gives 100% in that trin shirt must of had a falling out with Chester . Need to make it up and play him. Rather see him than Hirst and England every week.

Not often that I agree with you but, unless he cant be recalled, it's very strange that he cant get a game, unless there has been a fall out between player and club ?

Can i ask, following last night, and i know you were doing this earlier in the season against us, but how do you guys feel about chester playing 3 or 4 props at a time?

I know 2 props and a 3rd at loose is common now but having 2 at 2nd row as well? Is that a sustainable tactic?

With Batchelor, Kirmond, Ashurst all injured, Chester is short of options.
However, one player where there maybe a question of where he should play is Pauli, who, even when we have a fully fit squad, is played as a second row, which he clearly hasn't got the stamina for.
Kopy and King both seem able to play long minutes but, maybe a more mobile pack would be the way to go.
As I say, not a problem when you have a fit playing roster but, we are a long way from that and the big unknown is, just how many of last nights 17 were playing busted.
Certainly Fifita isn't right, Brough is way off in all aspects of his game and the disruption to our left side, leaves us impotent.
Tupou, Johnstone and Ashurst down that side are excellent and give us plenty of strike but, and without being disrespectful of those who have come in, we have been mullered down that side.
The big problem now is that collectively, our confidence is shot.
We need to grind out a win of any kind and start building again but, that is easier said than done.

You're right and wrong. Anakin isn't a prop so although England in particular looks shot he's not a replacement. That said he'd be ideal to replace any of the following, Batchelor, Ashurst, Kirmond, especially Kirmond who simply can't last ten minutes, why he hasn't been recalled is frankly odd, whats the point in having him!

Did Chris get a 2 year deal with one to run or is he OOC ? He always plays full on which I like.

You say he isn't a prop but he carries it in a damm sight harder than Hirst and England also lands on his front..
Never let us down deserves to get back in team

Agreed but the point is that he should have been in weeks back replacing Kirmond or Ashurst or Batchelor. SR is his best position and that’s where he should already be playing imo. He shouldn’t be considered as a prop because he should already be in the back row.

I’m pretty sure Annakin has always been used as a prop, or a loose forward doing the work of a prop...he carries it strong and is a straight down the middle man when carrying the ball and when defending...I can’t say I’ve ever seen him running or defending the edges...it’s such a shame he never fully realised his academy potential because he was an outstanding 13 in that grand final winning academy team...head and shoulders the best player in that season from any team I’d say...

Just like to say too that Wrencats post is absolutely bang on the money in every way! We just need to scrape any kind of win we can and get confidence back up...we’re gradually getting the cogs in the wheel back...if Bill and Ashurst are back that will be a tremendous lift for Friday...the left edge that’s cost us so much misery...our go forward in the pack is slowly coming back...Fifita, Pauli, Tanginoa...the left edge is the last piece of the jigsaw for me...as I say we just need any kind of win then all of a sudden the next three games look winnable!

Annakin might not be one of the biggest forward in our pack but he sure has one of the biggest hearts .Get the lad in this week and what you’ll get is a player that doesn’t shirk his stint and most importantly gets stuck in, boy if he were Pauli’s size we’d have a world beater on our hands .
