If Anakin was mismanaged, it was probably as a junior - and that can sometimes be accidental; I expect with his frame, everyone expected him to be a unit, but he has never developed the size to be a modern prop.

He seems to be the perfect size and shape to be a modern 9 - and if he'd trained as one, you can imagine him being up there in the McIllorum mould - nugetty, tough and direct. He certainly has the ticker and bravery to be right in the thick of it - but lacks impact when he hits a line of modern forwards, who are all 6 footers with 18 stone of muscle to deploy.

Last year when woody played practically the whole year at hooker without relief due to Randall’s injury, chester in the main started Arona at lock and he and Annakin rotated as we played with only one hooker

It’s was actually a really good ploy I’m really surprised he’s not used it this season
