I think sometimes stats can say a lot about how a game has gone...they can give false impressions at times too but looking at last nights it just highlights what a team effort it was...so many times this season I’ve seen lopsided stats where certain players look to have given everything against players who look to have given little...I’ve seen games where the likes of Fifita have taken the ball in 20 plus times while other forwards have taken it in 5 or 6...

Last nights forwards...carries and metres gained...including Randell and not Wood as he had a spell at 13...

Fifita...11 for 81
England...13 for 64
Randell...11 for 124
Kopczak...10 for 85
King...11 for 68
Pauli...11 for 100
Crowther...11 for 61
Tanginoa...13 for 168...

Now Randell and Tanginoa both had around a 50 metre break in there’s but take those off and what a well shared out shift that is...it’s almost as if it was a perfectly executed plan to share the workload...

Hampshire, Miller and Brought all ran more than I’ve seen this season collectively too...50 carries between them...was a great all round team performance!

As I thought at the game last night and commented Hampshire, Randell and Crowther the three stand out players and the stats seem to back that up with Hampshire running for an impressive 138 metres from 21 carries and proving a constant threat while Crowther 2nd in the tackle count with 36 with just one miss...took the ball up strong too and got a well deserved try...Randell top tackler, heavily involved and a hat-trick!

Where do you find the stats mate? Is there a website for them?

I think one of the main things that I was satisfied with when reading the above stats is how spread out it is; everyone got stuck in and put a shift it... nobody can say it was “pass it to Fifita” today.

Crowther try in some ways shows this.
He ran a great line on the left of Fifita. The defense of course were drawn to Dave so Crowther had the chance.
It needed a smart pass, it needed a change in strategy from give it to big Dave, it needed dummy runners and it needed a good line and charge on the ball from Crowther.
It kind of looked an easy try but I don't reckon we'd have scored that in previous weeks.

Always will be, proud that is, strange how people see different as I thought Hull away this season, when our injuries started and Shudds in the 8s last season were his best.

What an excellent win and our Forwards deserve huge credit.
Randall will quite rightly take the plaudits with an excellent hat trick but the effort in the pack laid the platform.

Shudds were completely gassed with 25 mins to go and how nice it was to see Trinity "come home with a wet sail".
Though MCB was gracious in not stealing the limelight with a hat trick of his own

Brough, despite some treatment from his former team mates, certainly stepped up and maybe Hampshire should take ove kicking duties (for conversions and penalties.
Crowrther, best game of the season and likewise for Miller.

Such a relief to get back to winning ways and the crowd, although small in number, were excellent (apart from the joker, chucking beer over his own fans)

I claim total responsibility for Randall's performance. After 3 minutes from kick off he threw out a rubbish pass(Crowther really) on the Hudds line. I immediately demanded we put him on the first plane back to Oz! He must of heard me, job done on my part

I thought the same for one of Randell's tries too. Defence thought it was going to Pauli which created the gap for Randell to scoot through.
Mixing up how we use the big men is definitely the way to go!
