Remaining fixtures

Let's face it, like it or not, Trinity are now right in the battle to avoid relegation.
With just two wins in our last 10 SL games (both against Huddersfield) and having been done by a very poor Leeds side, can we actually register another win before the end of the season.
7 games to go and play off hopes long gone, these are our last 7 games:

Wigan A
Saints A
Hull FC H
Hull KR A
Wigan H
Wire A
London H

For me, our SL future rests on the 2 games against the Hull clubs and a possible relegation decider against London on the last game of the season.
Having scrapped the 3 x 8 structure, we may still end up in a genuine Million Pound Game.

Cant see us getting a sniff against Wire, Wigan (twice) or Saints so we need to be clever with our squad and make damn sure that we have our best 17 available for the FC game at home.

Having already beaten them and knowing that they blow hot and cold, this should be targeted with everything that we have.
Apart from Huddersfield, our form is worse than everyone else in the comp and with Smith now getting KR into better shape and Leeds pulling in players from all over the place, this could go right down to the wire.

There may be a glimmer of hope in the Saints game, as they will have played in the Challenge Cup semi final the previous week but, they are expected to beat Halifax at a canter.
Therefore, it's getting past FC or KR that is our best chance of some points but, right now, you wouldn't gamble someone else's money on berating either of them.

We do have some points difference advantage and protecting this could actually be the difference between SL and Championship rugby next season.

Scary times indeed.

Think we should be targeting next weeks game against Wigan especially if true their pack is decimated by injuries. Also Saints and Hull play London and Leeds a week before the semis so wouldn’t be surprised to see them not go 100% so London & Leeds could pick up points. It’s in our own hands at the moment time for the team to stand up.

Problem is if we don't win any more games it means London and Hull KR do.

I actually feel its us and Huddersfield that are in trouble.

What we (Wigan) know.
Clubb should be back next week, Flower, Greenwood and O'Loughlin definitely not and Bullock and Naverette went off injured against Saints, no reports how bad yet.
If you've anything like a pack available then you play us down the middle, at least that's what I'd do if I was coach :)

We’ve got a pack but they’re playing like mice at the minute.

So London have
Saints Salford Leeds at home
Cas Cats HKR Wakey away

I started the season hoping London would be able to stay up , Things have changed a little.
To win 3 the wins could come from Salford at home Leeds at home and pos HKR away but its been a bloody strange season and even if they dont manage a home win that could be replaced by a surprise win. The last game away at Wakey could be a shocker to be involved in.

Heavy defeats against Wigan, Sts & Hull FC putting points difference advantage over London & HKR in jeopardy.

Defeat against HKR may warm up the bell ringer ready to sound the death knell on Wakefield Trinity’s Super League life.

We must win at least 2 of the remaining fixtures, one of which needs to be London.

Londons remaining fixtures show that they are up against teams they have already won, Saints ,Cats, Leeds HKR and Wakey x 2 Ward will have them fired up something at the moment we have a massive problem with.
