IMO Pauli and Rocky.

Despite Rocky having a half decent game yesterday, I can't imagine the contract negotiations are having a positive effect on the dressing room.

Played the interview back, when I got to work, sounds like his main issues are the middles.

Not sure if it was a a throw away comment, but when approached about Pauli interview, he said Pauli's injury is the least of his worries

I think our issues do start in the middle. Tanginoa is good and has been a rare bright spot in the past few games but Fifita on 1 leg was more effective than our other middles last night. I like koppy and think we missed him but England is so poor at the moment, on current form he is one of the worst props we have had in the super league era. I dont get playing Batch in the middle, he just doesnt have the size and gets dominated.
In an ideal world i would sign a couple of big middles but we dont have the budget and i doubt the right players are available.

In attack 6,7 are crap 9 not brilliant, but in defence there are all to blame, paper thin and no aggression, no heart

I think Altofts, with Engy, he still wants to put his body on the line, but the body not willing. Its not that long ago, he was up there with the best, and most consistent front rowers we had, but unfortunately, injuries etc, taking a toll on him now. Maybe, some fresher younger blood, and using him more as the back up prop.

Even if we do stay up, I think regardless, new props are definately needed, with Huby gone, and nothing sorted yet for either Engy or Pauli. Isn't Hirst off contract too.

I too have been disappointed with our pivots this year, but to be fair to them, it is extremely hard to do anything behind a pack which is beaten so convincingly for 80 minutes. The fact Fifita is the best on the pitch, even playing on one leg, shows just how poor the rest of them are at the minute. We are far too one dimensional and easy to defend against. Why do we insist on DB kicking at the end of every set when we have Rocky, Miller and Max in the squad?
